It was great to have the flexibility with adjusting my schedule while having the ability to work remotely as needed as well. I was able to learn how to do complete assessments through this preceptorship. Aside from the important teachings necessary to become great practitioners. My favorite memory was our down time feeling like a family. Sarah, keep up what you are doing! You are an amazing inspiration and I aspire to be as successful as you in the future!

I would rate the success of the preceptorship a 10/10 because of the hands-on experience and all the other experiences this program had to offer. The clinical and medication knowledge from Sarah Ko, PMHNP was excellent! I have lots of great memories with her, such as the fun lunch times we had with the other PMHNP students. Sarah Ko is the example of the best preceptor for PMHNP students, because she is passionate about her job; she knows exactly what students need to learn and kindly explains everything to us in a comprehensible way.

My experience precepting with Sarah Ko was amazing. I was able to finish all my hours due to her wide range of practices consisting of both inpatient and outpatient. She was extremely informative and educational when it came to her treatment modalities and pscyhotropic prescriptions. Sarah also gave us many opportunities to treat her patients and gain our ownconfidence; she respected my goal to be an autonomous practitioner and only intervened when necessary. All in all, I learned a lot precepting with Sarah and would recommend her to anyone looking for preceptorship.

Sarah is an amazing preceptor! I followed her for two semesters and I learned a lot new things from her. Before my clinical psych rotation, I had questions about some of the psych medications, but Sarah was able to answer all the questions right away. I highly recommend any new NP students to work/learn from her!

Sarah was an unbelieveable source of information for us during my advanced practice clinicals. She was very thorough and precise with patient assessments, charting and medication education. She was readily available if I had any questions and always took the time to really explain (in detail) the answers to all my inquiries. A preceptor should provide education and support, encourage critical thinking, and help students adjust ot the needs of the work environment. Without question, Sarah did all that for me. Mrs. Ko was my first PMHNP preceptor, and I was lucky to have her. She encouraged and inspired me to develop a firm foundation in diagnosing, prescribing, and treating psychiatric patients through careful observation of her interactions with them first. Then, she gave me the opportunity to interact with patients under her supervision, all the while taking into consideration my comfort level and skill set of interacting with patients.
